Default Anyone get ESPN via TOPUP TV?

I recently ...well in November...got the 3 months free ESPN offer I posted up in Biggy's Cheapskate corner where I got a free 250 GB TOP UP TV box.

ESPN is the worst quality channel available - Every 5 seconds it freezes for 1 second, sometimes its even worse.
It looks as if I am watching a stream via the internet.

Does anyone else have this problem?

My subscription runs out in a few weeks and I was hoping for a few weeks decent viewing material.

try the box on a different aerial..

could be a problem with the box, but I'd say more likely a reception issue. if it works ok on a different aerial than it's your aerial.. if not, ring up whoever you bought it from.. maybe you'll get another 3 months..

My aerial is perfect for all other channels.

I think it is the Top Up TV box also, maybe it converts the signal "on-the-fly" into AVI or something to be saved on the hard drive and thats why its so blocky.

All my other channels are blocky using the box but ESPN is by far the worst.

But when I plug the cable into the normal freeview tuner built into the TV it is perfect for the freeview channels.

i got that piece of sh*t Thomson box too, the pic quality was awful! i flogged it off on ebay and kept the top up tv card. forgot to cancel the espn free sub and so got mine for an extra month but no box to run it from. I would suggest trying a new box for the card or what i was going to do: buy a top tv/ Setanta cam from ebay and run the top up tv card through that if you tv has a cam slot

I was thinking of buying a CAM but they seem quite dear, I thought they would be about £5.

I cancelled my subscription on time but I think the card is still picking up ESPN, I havent tried it in about 2 weeks but last time I checked it was.
How are they able to actually cancel the card?

I'm going to throw the set top box on ebay this week hopefully too. Piece of shit
