fancy playing this but not sure if my pc can handle it and was gonna play it on a console but after the 360 demo i am thinking PC.

Looks awesome... dont be too worried about the graphics, I heard that all the new engine will run on practically anything....

There are loads of missions on the beta version and the fact that most of it is urban its should be a good game when it comes out.
Also there is alot more going on in the game which is not shown on the screenies helicopters aliens ,explosions ect ect and the enemy is quite accurate at attacking and fire power .

Crytek have been good to pc gamers in the past so I'm not going to be a prick and will wait and buy the game. Give em some support people!

Been playing it myself, needed to tweek the config file to disable shaders.
Playing at 1680x1050, hardcore graphics setting, getting constant 40fps, the engine is MUCH better than the one used in Crysis.

Not had any crashes, played for around an hour, the surround sound is a little glitchy and there are placeholders for some objects. Using the x64 exe on Win7 x64. Will be buying this one for sure.

To be honest the crashes i have had are not hardware but ...alt/tab to desktop and cant start game again .
Other than that its fine as you can see becuase its beta everything is on the screen / i am running it on vista 64 x11 and 24 "screen latest drivers / cards geforce 9800gt x2 sli .

I really wouldn't want to ruin the experience of playing of crappy alpha build of the game when the final is out in a couple/few months.

Just had a go on this and it runs great all max settings at 1920x1080 and never budges from 62.5fps which it's set at, let's hope its still like that when dx11 Is put in. A definite purchase when it comes out next month

Really been blown away with the videos and how good this game can look with a decent rig...

Any advice greatly received as I'm new to pc gaming and what's best to get

Can't wait for it to come out, Run it on my 32GB SSD with 8GB RAM, 3.2GHz AMD Quadcore and my Overclocked GTX260

I would get the i7 2600k over the 950 anyday, you might pay abit more for the 2600k but will be worth it when playing games and running demanding applications.
have a look at this site to compare cpu and gpus is used it when upgrading my pc to what it is now.
This link compares the two cpu's against each other and the gaming performance on the 2600k beats 950, also the 2600k is great for overclocking im running mine @4.5ghz now and all is stable
