    Default Collect+

    Hi All,

Just wonderingif anyone has or uses Collect+ as a delivery service?

Looks too good to be true. I've been wantingto boycot Royal mail for ages following their strikes, and I've now foundwhat appears to be the answer.

£4.99 for up to 5kg seemsreally good to me and you don't have to queue for 20 mins in the PO.

    Let me know your experiences.....

The 2 worst courriers I've used is Collect+ and myhermes, never again, and myhermes is not £3.99+vat for up to 15kg, I think it's up to 2kg, that was one complaint apart from it taking over a week to be delivered.

You have to go through parcel2go to get 15kg for £3.99, I believe I already said that.

    Hi
Royal mail are a disgrace, rises way above inflation and now added VAT to postage, I send letters in business airmail international signed for - supposed to take 3 days, cost last week was £4.55 for normal letter that here would normally be one first class stamp, now £6 lolol you having a laugh,,,as for the 3 days, try sending an airmail international sign for to italy......lolol £6 and take a month to get there ! I used to send 2kg parcels (that I normally send with courier) but on fridays for saturday delivery special delivery saturday last week was £8.65 + £2.13 for saturday now its nearly £15.
I send sack loads with royal snail and want to boycott also.....if somebody could please tell me how I can send documents to EU countries sign for for around £5 I wouls leave RM tomorrow.
    thanks

DHL, Citylink, Fedex, UPS etc. are all cheap at ParcelMonkey and Parcel2go. I sent an iPhone 4 to Iraq via Fedex, cost £35 and arrived in 2 days! That included the insurance cost too. I have not tried Hermes but did get an email about them from parcel2go the other day, will avoid them after reading this thread though.

To be fair they don't charge extra for the VAT and it's not their fault that some cunt decided they should have to pay it. Royal Mail only annoys me in that I have to carry all my stuff to the post office and wait in line but the price of their services are still very reasonable or I wouldn't still be using them. If you had to use U.S. postal services you'd be begging for the return of Royal Mail.

    Hi
Well according to the post office on friday when I asked why price hike was nearly 25% they said that previously no VAT now its vat so instant 20% then their increase also - then they said further increase coming in April - so they must have got it wrong. 2kg special delivery was £8.65 now nearly £11

You just have to be selective over which of their services you use, much better to use a courier for something you'd otherwise send special delivery but if you're sending lots of small packets they can't be beaten on price.
