Updating a fake TTDSi card, is it possible?

My sister has left me a couple of DSi with a TTDS for each of em, I've tried the usual 1.4 fix, which seemed to work with my DSiXL but i relaised the 2 DSi's are 1.4.1. When i got a newer version of the update which I presume is needed to the 1.4.1 firmware, its saying the cards are fake (which they probably are)

Is there any sort of fix for this or do I have to give her the bad news the �3 ds cards are useless?

there is an app to restore the firmware to factory then you can use the latest update with the fakekiller code removed. i'll try and get you some links now

you need a legit card to run the app then you hotswap to the fake card

no you can use any card, its just a .nds file

so the hotswap is only needed if the TTDS card has been killed by the update? these 2 seem to be working ok, but when it comes to do the update is just says the card is fake and wont continue, it does the same with the hacked menu too, so do I still need to reflash to its original state?

I tried to do that but my DS resets when it comes to putting the TTDS in at the swap.

yeah if its saying its fake its already been 'flagged' for want of a better term

it reset when you take the card out?

It resets when the TTDS is just clicking into place, i can take my acekard out fine.

I just ran that checker to see if the ttds are working ok and it says it isnt a TTDS card :S

oh and I can still run the DsttFlashWriter software on the TTDSi card (in my DSL) but it says

18188989

Not support device

looks like my fake cards are too fake even for this app.

the number seems to be what sort of chips the card is using, i found a newer version of the prog which adds support from more chip types but its still the bloody same.

I've just rung her to tell her the bad news and she says the has another one of these cards which hasnt been out the box, should it be possible to update this one to work on a 1.4.1?
