Yet another firmware question

Sorry to ask yet another firmware question, but this new stuff is really doing my head in...

My 360 "had" one of those Liteon's that you could read the key without any physical mods but cannot write key. So I read the key, shoved the Liteon in the cupboard and spooked a samsung (or maybe a hitachi) with a old NONE stealth firmware. Its worked great so far (but I haven't attempted to play any modern games)

My 360 has the last firmware installed BEFORE the kinect dashboard came out.

So what are my options with the latest stuff? I sure a read someone that the kinect dash will see that I haven't got a real liteon?

Is there anyway I can play the modern stuff without dropping the spoofed drive?

your best option is to flash your liteon with the latest f/w and yes ditch the spoofed drive
