    Question Is Kinect worth buying?

    My Mrs wants a kinect.
Is it any good. She wants that dance game.
Are there any other decent games?

I don't have it m8 and the main reason why is to do with the news I read and heard about you having to have 6ft between you and the camera. If this is still the case I would check you were able to have that prior to going any further along with checking if this is still true.

at first i didn't want it but got one around christmas and i think its ace, kids love it. the wii was good at first but after 3 hours its shit no offence to any wii fans. my mrs loves the kinect we got ea sports active 2 and she never off it and i can see it working for her as her ass has toned up a lot. not sure about the dancing game as i dont have it, but i could say 100% it would be better than the wii version having to carry that good dam controller with you.

Its like with anything m8, it depends on the quality of the titles you get. Some of the games specifically designed for it, like Dance Central, are really good. Some are utter shit. The device itself is pretty impressive, and the kids love it.

Worth it for Dance Central and Kinect Sports alone. The Fitness games are very good also. But as posted before you need a lot of room to get the most out of it

Got a second hand one in mint condition from the smack head exchange shop for £100 with a 2 month warranty. Not quite sure what can go wrong with one but hey ho.
Only downloaded the sports demo and a dance one, quite impressed, won't jump around like a loon after eating a massive plate of chilli and rice washed down with several Guinness's next time.
Going to buy the sports game today

It's a great piece of hardware but at the minute, the games lack long lasting appeal for anyone except the kids. Maybe if they added some form of lightgun support?

I've got one that isn't even plugged at the moment. I bought it for the little un who struggled with with the Wii remote and she still struggles with the Kinect. She's only 4 mind. Dance Central is quite good but its fooking hard if you can't dance like me.

I'd say its not worth the money but if you can pick up a 2nd hand one then its not too bad.

Apparently you need to be 8 feet away for 2 player? is that correct. Gonna have to move my corner sofa back 2 feet!! Got a 46" 200hz 3d LCD
