Logo and Website Design

ok i have a .co.uk and .com domain names for a business im setting up, i did have someone lined up for a simple logo design and website template ready for me to add the information to.

Anyway they seem to have disappeared and not come back to me 3 months on

So i have the logo in mind and even the web template and colour schemes (ready for someone to copy the draft ) and a change wanted to colour variations on logo.

the draft logo was built using Adobe CS4/5 and photoshop

I have seen of some the results before on here and been impressed.

I require logo, basic website template, logo dropped onto business card template

the website will have no ecommerce, basic contact details etc and just a simple submit enquiry link to my email address

dont have a huge amount spare cash but in return i have up for offer a BNIB Nokia 6303 on Orange pay and go worth £80 i may need to up the deal but it all seems fairly simple but time is not on my side so cant do it myself

Summary:-

Simple 2 world logo rendered with shadow with shortened version and strap-line

Website template with above logo and chosen colour scheme (can email these)

Logo putting onto A4 Letterhead and business card templates

that combined with joomla will work a treat

hi m8, i can help with what you want, do you need hosting too? obviously dont want to tread on toes so brumbino ofered 1st. ive got an idea of most of what you want and thats not too hard, business card template and website template np at all.

Just been looking into this, as I want to have a go at making a website, I am a complete novice, so far I have both the programs you mention and wordpress, I am told I need to install mySQL and PHP is that right? I really dont have a scooby wat the hell im doing at all.

I began to install php and it asked me what sort of server I wanted to install Apache etc etc and I thought fuck knows... so I just quit the installation until I spoke to you brainy buggers.

Treat me gently I know nothing about creating a website, I have seen places that offer free hosting whats all that about? Also do I get free webspace from my ISP or not? How can I find out?
I have been reading about free web hosting services with cpanel does that cpanel eliminate a lot of the messing about ?

The best thing you can do is pay for go daddy hosting. Choose Linux and the cheapest option for hosting with a domain name. Go daddy will install joomla for u mate. It's just a case of clicking an install button.

From there you insert a template, then an article, then menu and attach the article to the menu.

You could have a site going in an hour mate

Ok mate I will PM you my msn or something and have a chat about it some time, no rush just something I'm thinking of doing because I don't think I know exactly what I want on the site and feel I won't therefore be able to communicate it to some guy designing a site for me. I do think I will know it when I see it though, hence the reason I want to do it myself. I'll google this go daddy thing in the meantime
