console banned?

got a offline console that hasnt been online for months. i put in need 4 speed but i havent updated the firmware so it wouldnt work. (yeah i know i just had a blonde moment.)

Anyway. I put my hdd onto my original console to find the gamertag was corrupt. The offline console wasnt banned before i put in need 4 speed so why would it be now? I cant even recover my gamertag to my hdd. tells me it doesnt have enough room. Wtf is going on here then and how to i get round it?

deleted the gamertag and downloaded fine.
Dont understand how this happened though. wont be going on that console again thats for sure.

ok when a console fails ap2.5 it logs it in secdata.bin and changes the x-value - its also flagged for the next banwave.

Another side effect of this is that it cannot sign savegames and live profiles for use on other boxes anymore. It is possible to restore secdata.bin but you need to wire up a nandflasher.

no its 'flagged'. the banwave still hasn't hit for some reason. it will still corrupt profiles until secdata.bin is fixed

How do I do that then? It's on the latest dash.

You can still put a nandx on it and read the nand, clear the sec data and flash it back.

You cant however get the CPU key from the nand.

thanks just need to do that then. havent got a nandx but might go out and buy one.
