looking at the reviews, I think Streetfighter is the best launch title, it does look cool but having it on the 360 puts me off buying it. I think I;ll just wait for Zelda now. Mite pick up Pilotwings s/h, I fancy it, but reading reviews it doesnt sound like it has much lasting appeal, shame really cos I loved the previous 2 and a killer Pilotwings game would have been a dream launch title for me.

Wouldn't say the position of the stylus is a big deal, it does seem a bit odd they moved it back to the original phat DS location though, maybe they'll move it back when they release the 3DS lite...when can I preorder one please?

Do the R4 cards work with the 3DS? I saw that some do (for DS games only obviously) but is it specific ones?

Im sooo out of the loop. Last time I used one of these cards was in 2006. There doesnt seem to be any UK based sellers anymore only ones in the far east! Looks like if I do order one its going to take around 3 weeks to arrive.

Any local sellers were shot down last year, you will have to order from the far east unless you can find an individual selling em. Just dont ask on the open boards please!

regarding them working on the 3DS, Cyclo are claiming theirs works, the guys behind the Acekard say an update is coming and the R4 is working with some trickery, its too early days to really say how long a fix would work though, the firmware of the 3DS will be updated soon to add the internet browser and shop, so expect any loose ends regarding security to be tied up.

i to was thinking about one, as i have tried the inbuilt games with the ar cards and thought they were quite cool, however, im a massive streetfighter fan but i think its been watered down to much for the 3ds, and edges review of pilotwings has put me right off, such a missed chance this, as pilotwings is a great game on n64 and super famicom

Launch line up was pretty dire. I'm holding out at least until Mario Kart and Animal Crossing appear.

Got mine this morning too... gamestation though, so got royal BF'd.

they had an offer of a game for 24.99 when bought with the system, but SF wasn't one of them--so I only took the console.

Wasn't sure what to expect tbh, I've never even seen a 3d film before. I was hoping to be able look behind stuff by moving it, but alas no.

The 3D effect does work well though.. The camera is impressive, and the demo video looks ok too...The flower scene actually looked to be above the screen...And yes like a twat I moved my hand through the air...lol

I think that's the big problem, not just the launch line-up, but since the hardware is no real great advance (take away the 3D screen) over the DS you're not really going to get anything ground breaking on there. I was playing ridge racer a few minutes ago and thought to myself, this is exactly what PSP ridge racer was like 6 or 7 years ago.

you can say the same about every console, very few games on the current consoles are much more than old games with better graphics. The 3DS adds 3D as well as the motion sensing, and having the cameras means it opens up the AR side of things. There is a lot of potential for unique gameplay elements, but, I can pretty much guarantee they wont be in the next ridge racer game

Well every console nintendo launch anyway The other 2 (and sega bless 'em in their day) actually make an effort to advance the hardware to give the developers more room to create stunning new games. This is just a ds with a 3D screen and a gyro thrown in, because they're scared of the iPhone taking over mobile gaming.
