So a couple of weeks in, what's the verdict? Worth getting one or should I save my money?

I use it as a great device for measuring how dusty my house is. The 3ds has an inch of the stuff on top of it now. Win!

as with most console launches, decent software is thin on the ground so if you are expecting hours of gameplay, wait a bit longer till Zelda and the usual suspects are out.

I've almost fully clocked pilotwings on mine and aside from a few bits n bobs on the system games, I've all but exhausted it. Roll on OoT

I'm still lovin mine. Picked up most of the not-completely-shite launch games (pilotwings, pes, sf4, ridge racer, Lego star wars, monkey ball) that are keeping me busy, and also grabbed an m3i for some old fashioned ds love. I think there's huge potential with the 3ds, but also cannae wait for OoT

i got one yesterday with pilot wings and am loving it so far, however. i find anything over "just on" with the 3d hurts my eyes and makes me spin out after about 10 mins, but with it just on i can play for as long as i wish. have also done a stint in 2d and i still like using it. I just hope they keep the release of "proper" games coming to it, leave the shite on wii.
One other thing that concerns me is it does seem like they are just porting 64 games to it. i hope thats not the case

They're bound to port a fair few old games to it, in the case of Zelda I missed it the first time round and have always been annoyed by this, so the rehash is very welcome to me but I'd much prefer a brand new game. I would imagine the team behind Zelda are working on the new Wii game at the mo, so a quick port will satisfy some gamers while they wait.

Come to think of it, there wasn't that many first party N64 games in the first place, most of the gems came from Rare.

Got one for my birthday on tuesday, really quite liking it (I downloaded the japanese sculptor/photographer strip photos mmmmm nice.) Again waiting for zelda, there is a 3d prof layton due out and mario kart 3d looks quite cool. Plenty of potential especially with the AR games.

Right, after reading four pages and witnessing the decreasing enthusiasm, I have realised that I no longer have any interest in getting one of these!! Thanks for saving me a few quid!

i only saw one for the first time last weekend and must admit the 3d effect is better than I expected. Might pick one up second hand once the spur of the moment purchasers start selling up.
