Default virgin media mobile network - any good?

    Guys

Are they any good for coverage and customer service with their mobiles?

I currently have virgin tv and broadband, and as a customer I can get a desire phone with 300 mins, unlimited text and 1gb of data for £20.43pcm.

and I know from experience that the custmer service can be shocking for tv and internet though.

just wondered whether they use any other network ( like orange and t mobile piggyback) to increase their strength?

Think they use t-mobile. I had a virgin contract a while back. Was okay for coverage.

Think u will find in this day and age, especially in the bigger towns and cities you will always get a decent signal. CS tho, forget it, they will all be shite I would say!

Firstly Virgin use the T-Mobile transmitters.

The coverage where I am is very good and never get anything less than 3 out of 4 bars on my Desire.

The customer services are however scetchy to say the least. I personally have had some good results from them, but they do use Indian call centres and sometimes I have had to ask for another representative as I couldnt understand them. I also have this problem with Three, so it isnt just Virgin.

On the occasions I have had to call them I have had a good outcome and always had my problems resolved quite quickly too.

I personally believe that they are not too bad now, far better than the early days when they started out.

And they also do some decent deals for existing customers.

As above, Virgin use t-mobile. Where I live and work they have the shitest network coverage/signal strength, obviously YMMV.
However, as Orange and t-mobile are merging I assume the signal on a Virgin phone will get a lot better.

As for CS, for the short time I had a Virgin phone i found them to be no better or worse than the others.
