    Default AVCHD Playback

I've been using tsMuxer to convert .MKV files into AVCHD discs to play on my LG Bluray player and PS3 and mostly they work fine. Trouble is, I've tried a couple on my PS3 lately and I can only get audio and no video. Does this have anything to do with the level on tsMuxer not being 4.1? I think I've always converted them to 4.1 but I just can't get them to play. I've also tried them on a mates Panasonic Bluray player and they don't work on that either. Also they all seem to have DTS audio. Would this make a difference?

    Cheers

if you are like most poeple in here you probably have your pc on 24/7 so why dont you just use ps3 media server & stream all mkv/divx/avi to the ps3.then no need to tsmux?.i stream to 2 ps3 at the same time .all work fine.
as for the converting, i dont so i have never had the problem.

I would do but my little one wants to watch it when I'm not there, so I need something straight forward.

Ripbot264 does avchd. I don't think it will be as quick as tsmuxer as it will probably re-encode the whole thing but I'd give it a go to see if you get the same thing as a test. It might be an incompatible audio stream in the source MKV.

you cant get more staight forward then turn ps3 on / click on the green arrow /select tv show/ press play?
as long as ps3 media server is running on ur pc with all the movie folders added. on the ps3 under video is a small green arrow it will list all you stuff , movies,tv shows.what ever you have put in the file on the pc.(you just point the software to where the movies are)
much better then burning disks or converting then burning.
    its just a waste.
my kids use it ,My son is only six & tells me what to do.lol
    a lot less hasle.

Why are you converting the .mkv files if you have a LG Blu ray player, doesn't your model play the .mkv files straight off disc as files, or even from a USB stick or USB HDD. Mine does and doesn't struggle with 1080p files ... the staff in Richer Sounds were blown away when I tested a 1080p mkv file of Unstoppable .... from the LG BX580 ...

Just a thought !!! As you didn't mention what model your player was? Also most newer LG TV's can play back the .mkv files straight from USB or USB HDD ...

    Hope this helps
