Wordpress Hack

Hi Guys,

my site has been hacked it has been created using Wordpress and was up to date with Wordpress patches, I need advice on what to delete to get rid of the homepage?

The dancing school my bairns go to was complaining the other week about having their web site hacked and some muslim rubbish put up there...they said that thousands of Wordpress sites had been hacked. I never saw the site, but I would wager it looked exactly the same as yours does now. All I know about how they got it fixed was something along the lines of "fortunately we had full backups and were able to just re-upload them".

Replace index.php

assuming that you have a backup!

there's nothing of value on their so not backed up so should just delete and recreate index.php?

You may find this is a server hack rather than just you're website, not sure on this case but I have seen similar a few years ago when they run through and replace all index.html index.htm and index.php with a hack page.
