The unit uses the SD card pre-loaded with maps, if the SD card also holds the GPS application then you should be able to access the file which links the OSD to the app. This is how I used to 'alter' other standalone Sat Nav units to run iGo, TomTom and other Windows CE apps. You can open that file in notepad and add an entry (or edit the current entry) to point to your new choice of app. TomTom will run on Windows CE, it just depends whether you can get the headunit to recognise the files.

If you try the above then make sure you backup all original files so you can have it as a working GPS if the TomTom mod fails.
