    Hey a heads up.

Portal 2 has been released on steam.

How much is it from steam? I'm guessing there's no saving from the console version.

Finished single player, puzzles seemed easier than portal 1, still great game and not tried co-op yet.

How long is the single player aspect of the game? I would probably only play this, maybe a little co-op with mates but generally just the single player - is it still worth getting in that case?

    my honest review:

Portal 2 from the outset looked graphically dated, only later levels looked good in my opinion. The gameplay and puzzles (while they lasted) were a lot easier considering the world space they used.

Also remember the intro to the original half life on the tram/train? portal 2's gameplay contains about 45% OF SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR which pissed me off. about half way through your taken through pipes, tunnels and so on for quite a while and to me it looks like they just filled it out and tried to make people think it had more wow content but instead made it all the more boring.

the single player is very short and easy to complete, and as mentioned above i think they added some sections just to "pad out" the game and make it a little longer.

all in all it was soul less for me, it was like eating cardboard - you hope you will feel full but its bland and not very good.

    game 6/10
graphics 7/10 - only saved by later visuals
value for money - 4/10 - save your pennies and download it

lastly the game is suffering mass crashdowns at various points in the game, valve are aware and are working with the devs to fix. but its annoying to get 95% through puzzles just for it to crash to desktop (and thats with original steam copy b4 anyone asks)

Well my copy for PS3 is sitting at home and I have a 3 day weekend to play it. So hope it's as good as the first, and co-op should be good fun too.

    I enjoyed it.

I thought the voice acting was excellent and the story was nice enough. It did feel a bit easier than the first game, I think there were only two puzzles that stopped me for a bit but most of them were straight forward.

All I want to play now is Half Life 2 Episode 3 (if it ever comes out)

Am loving this so far. Not had a huge amount of time to spend on it, but loving what I've played.

Also like valves decision to scale back a bit on the gfx front. Even a moderate rig (such as my own) can enjoy high settings with a great fps count.
