    I've been to Glencoe before and it is gorgeous. We stayed in a YHA (big dorms really) when we went up for a stag do, but they do log cabins down the road

    Kielder is nice too they have log cabins. It's next to an english loch, so should be right up your street.

    A few weeks ago me and the misses has a log cabin in the Forest of dean CLICK HERE worth every penny, hot tubs as well.
