samsung nc10 recovery media req please

i reallyt need the recovery cds that come withsome of the samsung nc10 netbooks .
mine originally had xp on but i deleted the recovery partition and put on windows 7 but i dont think its as quick as xp so would appreciate if anyone who has the recovery cds could help me out or point me in right direction where i could download them , i been searching evrywhere for them .

Netbook - CD's!? Nope. Recovery partition only, some came with a CD what will load the information to a USB pen, but they are like rocking horse shit to find.
I would look for a Windows XP OEM and use that with a USB pen drive or USB CD Rom Drive.
Then download the Drivers/Utilities/Applications from Samsungs website.

I cannot see Windows 7 being much slower than XP, I would suggest upping the RAM in the netbook before downgrading.

I had an nc10 - upgraded ram to 2gb, and added 2Gb sd card for readyboost. Upgraded to 7 but it didn't quite have the beef for it (when logging off/shutting down it would always complain none of the apps could be closed in time).

Went back to xp, was still slow to be useful. Then I realised the cpu was comparable to a p3 so I got rids.

Anyway back to the point - you need to boot up the factory installed xp build and use their tool to create recovery media. Sound like you may be a little stuck. If you can wait till after next weekend I might be able to grab you a copy.

i may have them, if disks came with the nc10 but not sure, NC10 had xp on the partition (I think). I'll have a look tomorrow, to see what i have, whatever i've got you can borrow.

OK - it's been zipped up & then in a folder named - SEC_RCD - this is the name of the disk it was all on - just copy the contents of that folder to CD & hopefully it will work.

I think the CD would be bootable Russ.
Might have been a better idea to create an ISO of it, Zip it up, then upload it.

I would not have added the boot sector to the Zip folder.

Ah OK - didn't think of that - not made an ISO before - will have try to do it using Nero 6

I am having the same problem. I have an NC10 and I gave it to my son with Windows XP, but I got it back with Windows 7. It is really slow now. I have cleaned it and defragmented it, but it is still incredibly slow.
