Bricked 3GS

I somehow managed to brick my 3gs yesterday while trying to jailbreak it on 4.3.3 with snowbreeze.

The phone now fluctuates between DFU mode and Recovery mode, seemingly stuck as it wont break out.

I have tried updating to apples latest firmware using itunes...that fails. I have also tried breaking out with tinyumbrealla, that fails. I hae tried numerous web articles advising on holding various combinations of keypresses...also failed.

I did try a commandline program too, without any luck, but I deleted that and forgot the name!

So what I`m asking, can anyone help...I mean if I send the phone to you can you get it working again? Doesnt need to be jailbroken...just alive!!

Obviously I will pay for any help given.

Pleasey please help...I feel naked with no phone!

I thought the only way to truly brick an iPhone was with a hardware mod, have you tried tinyumberella to kick it out of recovery?

Yeh, didnt work...numerous times..

you cant brick an iphone thru flashing. it's only bricked if you have a hardware fault.

you won't have bricked it - do you have previous shsh blobs saved in tinyumbrella? Have you tried to restore it to a previous fw version?

No I havent...I`m new to all this

I tried restoring to 4.2.1 but that was no good either. Its just stuck on the screen with the itunes logo and the usb cable!!!

I had many problems a few months back, but this was down to me using Win7 Ultimate x64.

I installed Win XP Home and haven't had any problems since.

received this from welsh pete today and restored to 4.3.3 without issue on my mac. Can't activate as don't know what network it was on though, have tried an o2 sim so far.

@malty, noticed you used redsnow, i'm finding that pwnage on MAC just isn't doing the job atm. Tried a 3G and 3GS with pwnage and failed, Rednsow on pc worked first time. Odd.

you can only restore a modified firmware to an already jailbroken phone as the chain of trust needs to be broken.

Posted this back today to pete, via special delivery. Should be with him tomorrow.
