Old TomTom SatNav Via LIVE 120 - can it be done

I have never updated a SatNav other than the way you end up paying for the service, it has not been in a very long time, so I have just updated the most I can through TomTom website without paying for another 12 months and wonder can it be done on my sat NAV:

Via LIVE 120 - 4GB TTS*
Current MAP: Western Europe v9.10 (size 2757MB) release date: 4/2013

Most of the threads in this section talk about TomTom Go and I dont think mine is a Go, so i am not sure what I need to download and if it will work, can someone point me in the right direction?

I have already noticed plugging the TomTom into my computer via usb does not provide a removable drive to access to get to the file system on the TomTom.

Also it has no SSD card slot.

Any help would be great?

I have the same model - got it new years ago when my trusty old Go930 got nicked and as far as I'm aware there's no hacks around for these - I believe it's to do with the IP over USB connection they use so they don't show up as a drive under Windows

The only way these can be updated is by paying for it through tomtom. No copied maps will work on it.
