its very confusing, I only saw the majority of the WiiU part but I really dont have a fuckign clue what it is!
Is it wii compatible or the new console is compatible with wii remotes?

I can see the options with the system as I understood it but I feel they struggled to pinpoint what exactly it will bring to the table.

the 'old tech' is irrelevant with Nintendo consoles and from what I have seen from the presentation, its on par with current gen which I think is enough for the target market and to regain some of the so called hardcore market.
Devs should be able to port next gen games, or atleast comparable versions of them to the WiiU which shoud break down the barrier that exists now with wii and ps3/360

All the rumours suggest that its more powerful than the 360/PS3. 1GB RAM, ATI Radeon R700 family GPU, 3.6ghz CPU etc.

You can see the separate console in some shots. The controller isn't the console. It just streams content.
Sadly Nintendo done fuck all to explain any of that.

seeing vibrant nintendo worlds in HD seems very strange, almost everything Ive seen in HD on the other consoles has been brown and grey with a stubbly chinned guy in.

fully backwards compatible is great, zapper, wiimotes and balance board all featured in the videos
