iphone stuck on apple logo

hi i need same help my sis iphone is stuck on the apple logo its was on 4.2.1 and i used the ipad base band up unlock every thing was working fine until my sis was going to sell the iphone so she went to reset the contacts
and did so now stuck on apple logo will not retart

i am thingking i need to restore the phone but as its on the ipad base band i need a custom frimware is this ture
and were will i get this base band

You can't use the erease everything on a jailbroken phone I Think.
yes you will have to restore and all will be fine, you will have to have it in Dfu mode to retsore though.

DFU Mode- Power off the phone. Press and hold the home button and sleep/wake button for 10 seconds with the phone off. After the 10 seconds is up, release the sleep/wake button but keep pressing the home button until iTunes pops up, and it will say iphone ,found in recovery mode.

Just power on as normal but also hold the home button in, untill apple logo comes on the screen, it will load back up but take longer than normal. Patience and it will load up eventually.

I had exactly the same problem as this last week on a JB 3.1.2 3G and it never came back on. I had to restore in DFU mode. Not sure how the iPad baseband will affect the restoration to a stock Apple FW. If you can bake a custom 4.2.1 FW then I would suggest doing that mate.

It should restore just fine with stock fw, will give a 1015 error..
Then you will have to use tiny umbrella to kick out of recovery mode :-)

could try this: Download tiy umbrella, hold down both power and home button until apple logo dissapears, once it dissapears plug the iphone in via USB, when tiny umbrella recognises the phone choose the option to put into DFU recovery mode, once thats done give it a sec then choose the option to Kick it out of recovery mode. That may work if not a quick restore from DFU will sort it no probs, make sure you start tiny umbrella with administrator privelages (right click and start as admin) Also if you do end up restoring, set up as new phone if shes selling it, do not restore from backup as this causes probs I find.

thanks all for your info made a custom rom and restored

got ? iphone 3gs boot up in to open screen then turns off again and show the barrety logo and wont turn on
every time i unplug the cgarger it starts up then closes again

Sounds like maybe you are stuck in recovery mode
Have u tried recboot or tiny umbrella to kick it out of recovery mode ?
