Does anyone work for virgin media? Can you tell me why it costs £100 more to activate a 1TB box over a 500 gig box? does it take 3 times the work to press a couple of buttons or 4 times if your a new customer?

so a existing customer on the TV XL service pays for the first 12 months £125.95 including the £40 installation charge for a 500 gig box, and for a 1TB they pay £225.95 including installation. New customers pay another £50 on top for the 1TB.
If your on the TV M+ or TV L you have to pay another £60 a year on top of that.

I can't find exactly where I read it now but I'm certain it was that the 500gb version is currently £50 less than it's going to be in the future, so the £100 difference between the two boxes will be £50 difference eventually - unfortunately going the wrong way for the 500gb box.

they are just preying on the first uptakers. same as they did with V+ then 50mb,the people who just got to have the fastest and best and willing to shell out for the privilage. sooner or later they will be giving the tivo away with free install
