flash

the fla sh has packed in on my 350d, it doesnt pop up , flash or anything, has anyone had this problem and is it worth fixing. cheers

Peter, does it give an error on the screen? Mine does if it wants to fire and is prevented from popping up. Just wondered, if it's not mechanical would rewriting the firmware fix it. Just a wild stab really.

i had a bit of a problem with the 350d flash it still used to pop up when you pushed the button but it wouldn't flash
when i read up on it there's a tiny switch on the hot shoe that switches off the built in flash when an external flash is used this can stick preventing the flash from working

might be worth checking

cheers mate and spot on, fitted a hotshoe level the other week and it has knocked it off, thanks
