Default Imaging my XBMCLive Revo Installation.

After setting everything up correctly - and usually using up 5 hours of my life - I would like to Image backup the drive in my Revo so I can reinstall next time within a few minutes from a USB drive.

Can Acronis True Image do this? It says it only supports Windows Operating Systems, but does support the ext4 filesystem!?

Are there any other Imaging programs you can suggest to do it? Is CloneZilla much cop? Can Norton Ghost image a Linux drive?

I cannot see why none of them wouldn't, as I see it, it's just creating an image of a filesystem. They should all do it shouldn't they? Which is the best...?!

(Sorry if it sounds like a pop quiz!)

Look into the linux dd command, it is a direct raw copy. I am sure there are several GUI apps that can do it but this is a primitive solution which will completely clone the HDD. It worked even better than clonezilla when I was testing it.

Clonezilla should do this fine just boot it from USB and it will back it up to a USB drive Was gonna do mine as well but haven't finished setting it up yet

Has anyone done this lately and found the best/easiest way?

Finally got my setup completely sorted after spending the last 3 days on it (with a lot of help from DejaVu's tut - thanks!)
