Still on my journey through The Dark Tower series. Finished The Wind through the Keyhole which was a good break from the main plotline with the story in a story in a story (or something like that)and now onto book 5 The Wolves of the Calla. I've just met a character who I last heard from in Salems Lot!

Finished False Friends by Stephen Leather in 2 sittings. Much of the same if you've read McNab and Chris Ryan.

Did quite well on this one. Bought it in Asda for £6 on release day and sold it on e bay for £12 a week later.

Currently reading Mark Gimenez - The Governor's Wife. He has previously written a couple of legal thrillers like The Colour of Law that threatened John Grisham's crown as a legal thriller author.

This for me is not a fast page turner but I've almost finished it and it was worth the seven and a half quid it cost in Tesco though I don't see me getting a similar 100% return profit on the bay.

Since I sat on my Kindle again, but this time outside of their excellent warranty, I have resisted for the time being buying a new one in favour of buying actual books.

Can't decided whether to by a Nexus 7 and use that multi purpose or just buy a new kindle.

Have just finished the 1st two books in the "Hunger Games Trilogy" finding it quite difficult to put down once started reading and will be starting on the 3rd tonight!

Jonep I feel your pain as I have broken my kindle as well and am having the same dilemma as you!
But with the 20% discount from Amazon for a kindle I can see me replacing with a new kindle touch wifi only and a google nexus as well!

Never seen this before when a author picks up the back story of another authors character.

Lee child's Jack Reacher no less.

The book is called Don't know Jack by Diane Capri and its a great read.

No doubt an authorised spin off as Child himself gives it the thumbs up on his website.

May have been written by him too for all I know.

Just a heads up too the next Reacher book is out next Thursday too.

Same here, I'm about 52% of the way through it, funny thing is I don't & never have owned an Apple product.

I'm finding the book interesting but I only read a small % of it each week, I think I started it about 6 months ago lol.

Just started the new Jack Reacher by Lee Child and its pretty good it picks up after the ending of Worth dying for, which isn't the last book because that was the one set in 1997/98 while Reacher was in the Army but the book before that set in Nebraska (I think)

I'm about 14 chapters in and a bit depressed that I'm charging through it so quickly lol

Its been a while since I last updated what I've been reading so if I get the chance this weekend I'll make an embarrassingly long post lol

Was a bit of a let down to me compared to his other books with a rushed ending.

Though I had never heard the sentence question before.

the numbers thing didn't bother me too much while I was reading it but its not something that's been so intensely explored in other books so it did stick out like a sore thumb to begin with. That said I didn't like the winking code in the car I found that to be completely unbelievable; while it did seem a little rushed towards the end its a common way Lee child ends his books so I'm not that surprised by it

@hoponbaby I read them in order as well, have a look for the Will Trent/Atlanta series as well, because the Grant county series merges with the Atalanta series in the third book, but reading them before you finish the sara linton/grant county books WILL spoil the story

    Thanks to casio
