After finishing Hitch-hiker's Guide, I'm back to re-reading Discworld in chronological order. Currently reading one of my favourites of the lot, Guards! Guards!

    Patient Zero (Joe Ledger, #1)
The Dragon Factory (Joe Ledger, #2)
The King of Plagues (Joe Ledger, #3)
    Assassin's Code (Joe Ledger, #4)
    Extinction Machine (Joe Ledger, #5)
    Code Zero (Joe Ledger, #6)
Sorry to ask but are each series of books stand alone or is it better to read them in order?
I mean, should i read,The Pine Deep Trilogy then The Joe Ledger series then The Rot and Ruin series etc or can i just pick and choose which i read?

If you enjoyed that, you should try Armada by the same author. More of the same really. Loads of 80's pop culture references.

Yeah I'm contemplating that but a lot of people have said its not very good. What was your view?

I'm only half way through it but it's a lot like Ready Player One with a bit for the conspiracy theorists thrown in. It's a similar premise to 'The Last Starfighter' if you can remember that.

    Thanks to TJB

Yeah, about 30% through it - I wondered how he'd keep writing them as Reacher got older, well this goes back in time.

I thought last years book was the start of rot setting in however Night School surprised me on so many fronts. Not least because Child has introduced his mainly female readers to the idea of having sex with donkeys! A departure from previous books that's for sure.

    Thanks to JonEp
