.... or tighten up the security on their websites that doesnt allow this to happen ??
If i have a shit , out of date security system on my front door that can be easily bypassed and access can be granted , is that the fault of me the home owner thinking "it will never happen to me" ? , or is a kick in the arse and a reality check to get it updated ?

In a way, these companies are actually getting this as a benefit - putting their security systems to a good test without charge. Well, the charge being that it becomes public that their systems need improving.
