My only thought was did you need to upgrade, what was the sole driver, just exciting new technology as you already have a dual core 3 ghz etc

Looks a beast but i would check out the X2 dual channel as its set at 8x if you use both slots
    "2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8)"

Although if your only usesing 1 of the pci slots it wont matter much

I am still happy with my ASUS ROG Rampage board as it was one of the best on the block and still kicks @ss on the FPS front. My next new mboard would be this little beatie if i won the lottery

That's a pretty decent spec, are you an avid pc gamer? I wouldn't go for a i7 unless I was. It's like using a Rocket Launcher to take out a fly.

I personally Upgraded my AM3 Dual Core to a 6 Core Processor, but that alone cost me just £150. I sold my AM3 Phenom for £40 from so it only really cost me £110.

yea it is exciting new technology, i am kinda wanting to put this one in a new case and leave it at my gf house so i have something to use when i stop over there and this one is getting a bit sluggish. I defo need more hdd space and it hangs alot. I would also like to play a few games on higher settings espeically bf3 this winter.

This is the best case i have ever owned and it was upgraded from an old antec case i used for 8 years, i dont think i will need another case for a long time, i have had this one nearly 2 years now

that does look like a nice case atm i have the antec 950 gaming case. I may need to get a new power supply to go with the new hardware but the power calcs say that i only need about 600w if so i should be fine with what i have for the moment
