    Info Anybody Smoke E-Cigs

started using these about 4 months ago.
used the cheapo £20 kits at first then progressed to a £150 american sourced variable voltage model.

not smoked once in four months other than the odd joint.

dunno about you lot but i enjoy a smoke so i did not want to quit so e-cigs seem like a happy medium. still get my nicotine fix but without the crap in real cigs i find smoking a e-cig a more pleasurable experience than a normal cig

it can be very addictive hobby tho if you make it on par with smartphones and pcs

anyone else had try of e-cigs?

    Cheers.

Yeah i've had one for years on and off.
As you say i enjoy smoking so it's a happy medium for me too, i don't feel the urge to smoke at all when i use mine and bar the odd cig when i go out i haven't had one for months which i'm happy with.
I currently use a tornado tank which is the best i've used so far. Can't be arsed with the ones that look like cigs.

small cigs like that are no more than a throw away toy just used to get you hooked on e-cigs then you start to look at the american and european mods and there price then just one big learning curve.

Is there a brand/type that would compare to a standard 'normal' cig? I dont have a clue here as I don't smoke but me mum has smoked 40 a day for the last 30 years and I'd love to see her switch to something a little less damaging (and less smelly), unless it was as good, I cant see her bothering though. I imagine her nicotine needs are pretty high.

I don't really think they taste like what they are mean't to be tobacco wise but the flavours like cola and chocolate mint do.Thats not saying they're not good though just a bit different...Get her one 909 the thing smokers miss with all the things like patches, gum an inhalers are the actual act of smoking and the hit on the back of your throat which you do get with an electronic cig.

yeah, i had dinner with her earlier and half the time the cig is just sat burning in an ashtray like some sort of ceremonial joss stick. She isnt one for change though, it took us weeks to convince her to retune the telly to get channel 5.

How does the cost compare? I imagine taxes are lower on e-cigs?

Once you've got the e-cig itself (which varies depending on the type you get) you can just buy bottles of liquid to refill it with... i have a half litre bottle here which cost me about 60 notes throw a bit of distilled water in it to thin it out, a bit of extra flavouring to compensate for the water and hey presto and I've barely scratched the surface of it in 2 months at least.
Depending on how much you use it atomisers last about a month of heavy use and they vary in cost depending on the e-cig you've got.

You can get starter kits for different types of cig which give you everything she needs to see if she can get along with it.I'd have a pop at the 14 quid one that philmein linked to hardly a devastating loss if she doesn't like it.

I used to smoke 40 a day easy,

From the day I got mine I haven't smoked a single fag.

I know others that have tried to smoke this and fags at the same time, sadly they still smoke fags.

My recommendation is a tornado tank from totally wicked. And throw your cigs away the day it arrives.

Once your up and running its about a third of the price of smoking. (this includes having to renew your battery every six months, and atomisers, nicoteen etc)

I can now taste again, smell again, and I dont cough up loads in the morning.

    best thing I ever bought!

    Fon

I switched to ecigs about 18 months ago and haven't looked back. After trying out quite a few different types I've settled on a 3.7v 14500 battery mod box using e2 clearomizers mainly as an economy drive as the batteries work out at £3. After trying the more expensive brands I'm happy buying the cheap stuff from China along with bulk cartos.

Oh yeah I picked up some cialis eliquid the other day too

Thank fuck i never smoked a day in my life, well thats not 100% accurate, i once 'tried' a cig from my mums packet, did not smoke properly but i heard my mum coming down the stairs so i threw the cig in the bin, all was well until i set the bin on fire :? got a right old belt for that. apart from that never bothered me, ive seen smokers lungs and ill tell you if you could see your own lungs you would pack in instantly, all black and scarred with tar and chemicals.

on the original subject im sure i saw a program a while ago warning not to use these ecigs?

I use the Tornado Tank USB Passthrough from Totally Wicked, been using it for around 2 years now and only have normal cig's when im out on the piss and forgot to take my e-cig with me.
The USB Passthrough lets me keep the battery plugged into my keyboard when im at my desk so battery is never low. I have another one that i charge normally for when im out and about.

I tend to go for the sweeter flavours and not the tobacco flavours. Currently got a bottle of Fruit Stripe Illusion which tastes just like juicy fruit wriglies chewing gum and one called Green Cow which is red bull flavoured but also has caffeine in it (not one for night times though )

    Cheers

Details on how to make a AA mod box
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/18409-how-build-nicostick.html

Mod parts are all available from here. With the parts, charger and batteries I think its around $17 plus postage. I suggest using a 510 connector. Also you can pick up 50ml of dekang liquid for about $10
    http://www.madvapes.com/

Stupidly cheap liquid and clearomizers (get xl 510 2.6-2.8ohm) 100 clearomizers and 500ml of liquid comes to about $200 delivered. Might be worth splitting the clearomisers with someone to keep the cost down.
    http://www.e-liquid.cn

So for $240 you'll be good for around 2 years of esmoking goodness. Like I say its been a year and a half for me and I've not looked back. One problem that I did have was that I found that the PG based liquids dehydrated me and made my legs ache like fuck but I switched to VG and all is well.

All of the perks of smoking without any of the unfortunate life threatening issues

Edit: Just noticed that totally wicked is having a sale atm so clearomizers are fairly reasonable

Pdf on how to make a modbox
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...structions.pdf

Personally I put the switch on mine lower and recess the 510 connector to make it more compact add stability. I'll put some pics up if anyone's going to make one. I would of thought that any of the old school lot on here will jump at the chance to mod an ecig lol

There's home made atomisers to be made too but at the price of clearomizers I don't see the point
