Grabbed monkey island 2 this morning. It was a toss up between the 360 version and the iPhone. I got number 1 on the 360 but went for 2 on the phone and I am impressed.
Should have held out for when it's on offer but £5 not too bad and I have a holiday coming up soon

Cool. Didn't realize this was coming to the app store! Thought it was only on console.

Check out a game called Helsing's Fire. The gameplay is top notch and original. Story is a bit corny but its a great game. Only 59p so its worth a try.

ANGRY BIRDS!! How come every time I log into it I have new levels, new Birds which equals more of my time playing the damn thing!!

And for 59p it must be the best value title out there to date!!

Ive recently got Fragger which im sure your all aware of, great game if not a little short.

Also finger physics is superb, love it!

I did notice also that Sandstorm is on offer at 59p, was originally a 7 or 8 quid game so well worth a punt. It now has full multiplayer too which is cool.

A game I can't stop playing at the moment is Modern Conflict. It's a strategy game, there is a freebie version so you can try before you buy.

I just grabbed "dungeon hunter", 59pence at the moment and worth every penny. A great diablo/dungeon siege clone.

tangrams its either 59p or free depending on your pref and it barely touches the battery life ive been playing it for about a week and have literally played 100's of levels

then theres words with friends and chess with friends, both are available for free if you dont mind the adverts or you can pay to get rid of them

chess with friends is chess that you can play turn by turn with anyone friends or otherwise and words with friends is the same only with scrabble rather than chess btw if anyone fancies a game or two of either let me know

Been playing Godfinger for a few hours abd it quite good free aswell.

    GodFinger For iPad App Review

    Rating: ★★★½☆

GodFinger is a beautifully designed, well executed, and depending on your tastes for games -- addictive as heck. In GodFinger, you get to play the Almighty of your own world. you control rain, sunlight, lighting, and a variety of events affecting your world. As you complete mini tasks (building farms, irrigating dry terrain, build new structures) you gain experience points and new followers arrive to your planet.

Followers are basically your peons whom are subject to your every whim. You use your finger to pick up and toss followers into new tasks as you please. You may leave them to their own wandering wills, have them farm in-game gold, or worship you at your shrine. Like the much more popular real-time games, GodFinger allows you to control your own little world at limited intervals throughout the day as you’re dictated by the amount of mana, awe, and gold you possess. Mana allows you to do carry out your godly powers in rain, sunlight, etc… Awe is essentially GodFinger’s in-game currency and can be exchanged for gold or to grow your own powers. While gold, like most games, allow you to purchase in-game items. To regenerate your mana, accumulate gold, or build awe simply requires you to wait for them to regenerate.

Since the advent of the Nintendo Wii, Facebook and the iPhone -- casual or social gaming has been on the rise. The most popular including Zynga’s FarmVille and the heavily monetized gray area game Evony, GodFinger keeps you coming back for more as the game only allows you to really play for minutes at a time. Also like Farmville and Evony, the game is monetized via in-game purchases where real money can be exchanged for in-game currency. While most people balk at the idea, the more you play the game the more invested you become. And as growing your planet later in the game requires more and more gold and awe, the more invested players become more inclined to fork over real doe for in-game currency. So be warned now :-)

If you love to pass your time in social real-time based games, then GodFinger is the perfect game for you. However, like many real time games, there is no goal, high score, or end to GodFinger. The game just is. You play to build your world and pass the time. However, if you like your games to actually end -- GodFinger is not for you. After a week of playing GodFinger, you’ll likely be doing the same thing you did on your first day: picking up gold, keeping your followers happy and fresh, and growing your planet. Then again, not everyone can play God.
