^ Loved it. So many cliches but just so fucking honest and lacking in any cynicism with great performances. Definitely my favourite US movie of the year, even better than Drive.

Ra-One got a shit review on imdb. I usually find any film in a foreign language gets a s point higher score than it would if it was in English. So I am not confident it will live up to the favourite movie of the year billing it has gotten in this thread.

I didn't like Bronson. But I do like Tom Hardy in Inception and in RocknRolla. And Warrior of course. There seems to be a large British clique in Hollywood at the moment.

Yeah, I've seen it. Hardly the role to make Hollywood execs rub their hands together in glee though, no?

He's a very versatile actor, I'm really looking forward to his future stuff. (I first saw him in a TV series based on a Martina Cole novel, "The Take")

I saw him in The Take too. Hardy was brilliant in it. I thought he was excellent in Bronson too, though I think the film itself was a bit of a mistake by an otherwise brilliant director. Great character study but it was just a bit tedious and pointless otherwise. He's been knocking about for ages. Really fucking grafting. He was in a load of stuff you'll probably not have realised it was him. There was Band of Brothers, Black Hawk Down and then Layer Cake a few years later where he had tiny parts but anyone clock the fact that he was Picard's clone in Star Trek: Nemesis?

    Shinzon.jpg

He was the best thing in Inception and off the back of Warrior and what looks to be a massive year for him next year, he is going to be a superstar. Seems the Mad Max remake he looked set to star in has been shelved though. Possibly for the best.

    Thanks to WalterPill

I remember him in Layer Cake, but first noticed him properly on RocknRolla, and then in The Take.

Speaking of which Toby Kebbel seems to be moving up in the world too. He was good in Dead Man's shoes.

Hugo was 80percent good. To me a good film means the film with more suspense. I don't see any point in watching films a second time...am I the only one who thinjs this way?

Warrior was pretty awesome. A bit slow at times but some good fights if you're into UFC/MMA.

Drive or Senna for me. X Men 1st Class and Planet of the Apes bubbling under. Also enjoyed Kill List & Warrior.
