Question First 360 drive swap Benq to Benq

Hi guys, Just about to do my first drive swap, Its a Benq drive that ive purchased off fleabay to replace the Open Tray error that i've been getting.

My question is, is it just a matter of Unlocking the original Benq Drive reading the flash in Jungle Flasher, saving the firmware then plug in new Benq Drive and write the saved firmware back to the drive to keep all stock.

I heard people just swapping the PCB, but just wondering if it can be done in Jungle flasher.

    Cheers in Advance

I would just add that when you plug the replacement drive in you will also have to "unlock" it in order to get it into vendor mode in order to flash your saved firmware onto it.

My first question here is do you want it left as stock or do you want it flashed with LT+?

Stock is a little more detailed as you will have to manually load the firmware.
Whereas LT+ is auto loaded for you.

Info Re: First 360 drive swap Benq to Benq

Thought i would give you an update, It was simpler than i thought. So i put together this little step by step. Most of you will probably know how to do it but i thought it might be useful to anybody thats attempting to do this for the first time like me

If i missed something or can shorten in any way feel free to comment

    1. Take apart your Xbox 360.
    2. Connect broken drive to your laptop using Xbox360usbpro or what ever you use.
    3. Connect power to drive using CK3 Pro.
    4. Open Jungle Flasher and make sure the drive is detected and is ready to work with. (See Jungle Flasher Guide)
    5. go to DVDkey 32 Tab and click unlock the Drive.
    6. go to MTK Flash Tab and click read. (This will read your firmware and ask you to save the drive firmware)
    7. Once you have read the drive click Outtro/ ATA Reset then unplug the drive.
    8. Close Jungle Flasher
    9. Connect the new drive and open Jungle Flasher
    10. go to DVDkey 32 Tab and click unlock the Drive.
    11. go to Firmware32 Tab load the firmware you just saved. Jungle Flasher will tell you do you want to autoload LT firmware, click yes if you want the new drive to be flashed to play copied games.
    12. If you clicked yes you will see the target has the auto loaded firmware and the DVD KEY. The DVD key must match the source key
    13. If you clicked no and want to restore stock firmware just click open target firmware for the Firmware32 tab and select the firmware you saved.
    14. Once this is done all you need to do is go to the MTK Flash Tab and click write.
    15. wait until this process has finished then click Outtro/ ATA Reset. Then your done.
    16. Make sure you test the drive before assembling your xbox just in case
Hopefully that made sense will put some screen shots up. If needed.

    Thanks again guys.

    Sounds almost right
You may not need to unlock the drives they may just intro but there is no harm in using the benq unlock.

You wont be able to load the stock firmware you saved though
If you want stock firmware on your drive.....

    1. Open your firmware in source box
    2. open a stock firmware from the LT pack in the target box
    3. click spoof source to target.
    4. Then continue to write to the new drive
