Help Importing a vita from Japan?

Unfortunately Amazon.co.jp and play-asia won't ship the vita over to the UK in December, does anyone know where else I could grab a vita from in December?

looks like I'll be in the queue then....... although I can't imagine that these are really going to be that sought after in the West before it's official release.

I should also mention that sterling isn't worth the paper it was printed on here in Japan. The exchange rate is something like 120ish yen to the pound. It is crazy.

I had a look on the amazon website and there isn't a price on the machines as of yet. So for example, let's say that the wifi model comes out at around 30,000 you'll be looking at 250 quid just for the console (without mark-up/delivery etc etc)

You really want to pay that?

I'm hoping to get 2 and games if I can find them in time for xmas... Where is everyone ordering them from? Is there anyone overseas that can do it with a markup for their time on top...

Just a word of warning although you are probably aware - you will pay a shed load of import duty on them if they are checked.

Maybe there is. Although I haven't decided if I want the agro. I did it many moons back for one of the first gamecube hacks.... everything went well, but they were about 30 quid each, not hundreds.

Yep I'm a sucker for a new bit of kit, must have spent thousands on customs and vat charges, but I have also managed to wing a couple through without charges...

we're all suckers for new gadgets, especially something like this, the fear of a few quid in customs and mark-up isn't going to put us hardcore nerds off Bring iton, and Thrush, if you do decide to get a few , put me down for one

I'm tempted but I just keep remembering just how little I've played my original PSP. Having said that, there are a truckload of RPGs I'd love to play on it, just theres a truckload more on the DS that I'd rather play stops me.
