Dash Cams?

Hey Guys,

Anyone use a Dash Cam at all? If so can you let me know which one and your overall thoughts / quality. So many on the market now, with prices from £200 to £29.

Any advice is welcome.

you tube is full of reviews for them m8, go spend an hour or 2 as some of the cheaper ones look quite good.

I bought a £25 jobbie from ebay, set it to the middle resolution as I only had a 512mb card spare at the time.
Quality isnt that bad at all prob even better set higher.

Fixed for you. You just need to add the link to the video icon at the top of the screen when you use advanced settings

Were you speeding once you went past the lights at the side of the old public baths LOL. After the speed camera near the pub

Not that I was aware of, york rd is well known for coppers hiding on the side of the rd, so I tend not to lead foot it on there.

Looks a nice cam for the price, the sound is awful on youtube on iphone, is the avi file that bad on sound?

Can it be made to take longer loops than 5-15 minutes? Say you wanted to record a 1 hour journey?

hmmm a journey Ii do very often took a little while to realise, pretty good cam would be interestignt to see at full res. No sound on this pc

Thats pretty impressive...can you link to the ebay auction for this product please....quite fancy one myself.

the camera failed last to start up so waiting for the new 1 to arrive, will stick it on full res and record again, the sound is a bit iffy but then the engine noise in the discovery 2 is loud as its a stainless steel exhaust with no cat or silencers. the whining noise could be from the engine.

if you record in the house the audio aint bad at all.
I think you can record 30 min intervals, cant see you needing more than a few mins tbh cos if you have an accident you will only need a min or so before and the accident itself.

That's the seller I bought mine from although thats now showing £123 per unit :S
they are all the same just find another UK seller.
