    Help Moving to the USA

    Hi all,

I know a few of you guys live/have lived in the USA. Just wondering what it's like moving over as a Brit?

I'm thinking of relocating to the West Coast either to LA or San Diego (I have US citizenship) and want to know what the cultural differences are from a resident's perspective and how easy it is to meet people? I've been out there on several occasions for extended period of up to two months and have family out there so know I like it. If it happens I'll be going any time between November and January so very soon. Currently living in London so I expect a massive change.

    Any tips/advice/suggestions/warnings welcome!

Make sure you don't get a long term health condition. That is what has stopped me from emigrating. I have a long term health condition and I wouldn't be able to afford the health care.

Fortunately I'm 25 and in good health (I hope). I get your point though.. but don't most good businesses provide healthcare?!

I assume they do... But I know that my condition isn't covered by most. I also watched Michael Moore's propaganda - "Sicko", or whatever it was called. That put me off..!
