Help Strictly Come Dancing - 29th October

    Hi All,

I have got tickets to Strictly Come Dancing on the 29th October, basically it's free tickets from BBC lottery thing you apply for before the season commences, anyway we are travelling down on the Saturday staying in Richmond. Mrs C rang the BBC yesterday because they oversubscribe the programme she asked what are the chances of getting in as it says on the tickets first come first served. They said they oversubscribe it by quite a lot as people don't turn up etc

Bottom line is access to site from 2.30, studio doors open at 3.45 and recording starts at 6.30, has anyone got any experience of this type of thing as we really want to see the show especially travelling all that way gets someone to look after kids etc.

We thought about getting there for 1.30 to queue to make sure we get in.

    The questions I have is.

    Is 1.30 early enough?
Has anyone been to Strictly before?
Has anyone got any tips or tricks regarding this?

    Thanks in advance

    Chesser

Woman I work with went a couple of years ago. They started queuing at 6.30am, 12 hours before filming started. She said it was crazy, even at 6.30am there was about 100 people there. After 7.30am she said you can forget it.

I think it was Strictly anyway, could have been Michael Jackson tickets now I come to think about it.

    3 Thanks given to CzarJunkie

I have no experience of going to this show but know many of the band, worth a watch for them alone.
