Reading Slim Key

Hi Guys
I have a gears of war Red 360, and my nforce sata onboard reads it, so i can see the drive in jungleflasher
But when i try to read the key and u have to pull the power out and in again within 1 second, every time i do this it always comes up saying failed

Is there something i am doing wrong?? the drive is Liteon DG-16D4S

any thoughts really appreciated guys

What dashboard is your box on? As if its the latest, then your drive will be locked ...

Just connect it up and click on the DVD32 tab and click the "slimkey" button
No need to power cycle etc that only for introing the drive..

it Is on the latest dash, and i know its locked, but ist it only locked for writing, you still have to be able to READ the key to flash it to a new unlocked PCB dont ya

jusst tried reading the key WITHOUT power cycling the drive m8 and it still fails every time, i power cycled it because it tells me to in jungleflasher as i am doing it, but even doing that dont work either and i am deffo doing it quick enough.

is there anything i am missing??

4. you should see it verify the key etc

If you get slimkey failed i think you may have to have the firmware pack in the folder? (i may be wrong never tried without)

when i click slimkey it sees the drive but not the key

What sata are you using because it may be a simple thing like incompatible sata.

JF log looks fine to me

Tried all this m8, i can see the drive but it says drive key not found, then i click slimkey and have tried power cycling the drive, ive tried not doing it as you suggested, i have tried it with the firmware pack and not a thing i do works, says failed every time.

and as prezzy said, if the sata sees the drive shouldnt it be able to read the key??

just got a second hand slim and have taken out the drive and im also getting the same error ? im using a usbpro , did u solve the error mate ?

sorted it now , you need to say no to unlock and then yes to next request and then power on and off and job done , its all in the jf guide but i jumped in as usual with out reading , now to find a pcb board .

i got it sorted in the end m8 yes, paid £85 to get it done £50 was for the unlock board

and yeah i knew u had to say no then yes, my prob was that i wasnt using a usb pro

and dont forget £50 was for the unlock PCB the price of that isnt the guys fault
ive got to take it back to him aswell for LT 3.0 for £25

It wasn't aimed at you, just in general I've had no one willing to pay £85, if it was your sata connection, could it have had the kamikaze, or was it tried and failed?
