The iconic RPG franchise has been going strong for decades without ever becoming stale or boring. Nintendo has somehow managed to keep the magic going, and they've once again cast a spell over us with Skyward Sword.

The review is SO positive, its almost hard to take it seriously. Why oh why did I leave my Wii in the UK!?

cfg USB Loader go to game options > alt dol > player.dol, when it plays and goes back to the system menu you are good to go.

It's been good fun so far. The controls do take a bit of getting used to when flying, I found myself throwing the controller around just to get it to move even slightly in the direction I wanted. The catch the bird mission was bloody long because of that.

for a guess, its a fix for users of a certain modchip, or maybe users with a certain DVD drive chipset, D2X was the name of one of the DVD chipsets if i remember.

Think mine is one of these, I had to scrape away part of the chip to get at the solder points. Can you just run the softmod without removing chip?

yeah, leave it in, its better to have a chip in as it means some of the things you would have to 'fix' with a softmod are still handled by the chip.

If you can still do it (depends on when your wii was last updates), just add the homebrew channel, a USB loader and then plug in a USB HDD with the ISO on. Probably easier typed than done though...

If your wii was updated within the last 12 months or so, you are probably better off just following a full softmod guide, it will do everything you need and more.

I can't believe it gets that good reviews when it doesn't have voice acting! Seriously, are there any other games where a player wiggles their head while you read what they are saying?

Voice acting at the best of times is shit. Why would I want Link to sound like a 13 year old goth boy or some hyped up Japanese school boy playing pokemon.

Anyway, there has been voice acting in the past two zelda games, and the voice actors are credited at the end of both.

i have hated final fantasy since they added voice acting, drives me fucking nuts when they have subs AND voiced characters too. I'd MUCH rather have Zelda games just subbed. There isn't actually any point where Link actually speaks in Zelda games though, if i remember rightly, which is sort of odd when you think about it.

I agree about voice acting in the main, when it's good (the Arkham games for example) it adds massively to immersion.
