Newbie Windows 7 startup repair (everytime its rebuilt)

Any help would be appreciated on this

Ive got a Dell Latitude E5410, it was damaged at work and they scrapped it so i decided to take it hime pop a new LCD in it and a new harddrive. Seemed fine for a month or so but about three weeks ago it went into Win7 startup repair which couldnt fix the problems so i decided on a rebuild. Seemed fine then done it again and ive been doing that for the past few weeks not really ideal. Ive tried running the Dell onboard diagnostics and used all different types of windows 7 discs to no avail

So i had a look on google and i turned off all startup repair options so it would just boot into the error and i get this error

    File: windows\system32\config\system

    Status : Oxc000014c

Info : Windows failed to load because hte system registry file is missing or corrupt

Part of me says, just put an SSD in it and be done but im just worried that there is an underlying problem maybe with the motherboard

Any help appreciated i know it could be a million things but if anyones had similar problems let me know

Firstly run the pre boot system assessment when the system is off hold down FN then press power - should say diagnostic boot selected .

Run though these test and let me know if you get any errors - skip the remaining memory test then run diagnostics from utility partition symptom > windows blue screens

E5410 is fairly new would that not still be under warranty ?

    Thanks to TotallyRandom

I had similar issues with an Acer Aspire 8930G recently.
Have you upgraded the BIOS to the latest?

I was having alsorts of problems with Stop errors til I did. Been solid as a rock since.

Not usually recommended, but it was my last resort and it paid off.

    Thanks to DejaVu

There was a bug with one of the earlier Intel Matrix Storage manager that reported the drive as degraded / offline or missing updating the Intel Matrix Storage manager fixes it

So looks live you have solved it
