Tech openbox s10/11 just to get me started?

    hi
okay, as my 12month sky deal ends in December(thanks Realist!) I'm looking to get myself setup with a box. Now this is just to get me through Christmas with some TV so I won't be looking to jump in at the VU Duo end of the market. I just want something simple for a few months and then buy a better box/dish etc when I know a little more about it..

okay, seems like these openbox things will be just fine for what I need. I will be using my existing sly dish and so whatever I get has to work using that. I have looked into it and the service I'm looking at will do just that and is fine for my needs at the moment.

so, is the openbox s10 or 11 okay just for now or can I get a similar box(near enough the same price tag) that does the same job & work with my existing dish and may be a little better?..
I'm not into it at all yet and so all this image stuff is new.. would just like to update/edit box and watch..

    any advice is greatly appreciated..

budget under £100 just to get through a few months..

    Hi
Openboxs suck in my opinion, they run favorite eumu's and they are HD but the SD picture is grainy and rank. in my opinion I would save up another few quid and get something that runs E2 or similar or a secondhand AZbox which can be flashed with E2 these days.

For the money these boxes seem to be good value and no other box will give you H.D. at that price ....i have seen them on ebay for as little as £65 ! if you do have a £100 quid budget then you should spend the other £35 by buying a motor for your dish ,as it opens up a whole load more live sport ,new movies and dare i say it ? Adult entertainment ! i have a technomate tm600 and it does the job for me ,but is not H.D. so i am also considering one of these as i dont need an all singing all dancing record 5 channels as you watch 3 or whatever they do box !
Finding a good reliable and cheap cline supplier is the hard bit ...as a lot of them are over subscribed and you get a lot of freezing ...but i am sure some of the lads on here can help you out there ?

    Thanks to beaconboy

for now I will be using my existing sky dish so it needs to work with that..I don't really need top of the range, just something simple to input *required* settings and watch..

are they simple enough to setup and use with my existing dish for now? Hd is gonna be needed in the future as I've already had the cable fitted into my wall ready for when i move the TV.. I'll take a look at those now..
