News 'Dizzy' return teased by Codemasters

Dizzy is to be revived by Codemasters, it has been revealed.

The return of the fan-favourite '80s mascot has been teased on website eggcitingnews.com, which shows the character's trademark red glove hanging outside of an egg box.

Elsewhere, a cryptic video shows someone walking through a warehouse with Dizzy game boxes, screens and a Commodore Amiga.

Codemasters is expected to make a full announcement of the new Dizzy game tomorrow (November 23).

Dizzy was a series of successful platform games during the '80s, finding success on platforms such as the Amiga, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and Atari ST.

Popular entries include Treasure Island Dizzy and Fantasy World Dizzy, while the mascot later appeared in a number of spin-offs such as Fast Food.

I wouldn't waste your money on it mate. Game is buggy as hell, I'd almost finished it, then the game glitched on me and lost an item I need that I can't get back without restarting from scratch.

Also if I walk down the hill too fast, just after the lion, it glitches and I get stuck in the floor. I need to close app and restart.

Shame really, sure there will be updates to fix those issues soon enough.

Sensation, when he speeds up his walk and goes to the next screen sometimes the level doesn't load, like its not buffering quick enough.

Don't have that problem when he's walking normal speed

I didn't buy it, but instead opted for the sensible approach of downloading all the Dizzy games from WOS and firing up FUSE to play them on my laptop.
