4.1 wii to 4.3

i have a wii on 4.1 and plays back ups from the disc.

i'm finding i can't play some of the latest games so it looks like i need update and re softmod.

any guide on getting it from 4.1 to 4.3 or latest firmware and still play back ups.

You should be able to do an update to 4.3 and then simply run the letterbomb ssoftmod on 4.3, but im sure an expert will confirm

It may be that you simply need to upgrade ios58 and hbc. Im on 4.2 and it plays everything i throw at it.

Some games run on different ios, for example you may need to use 249 in stead of 222 to boot some games.

1. update the wii to 4.3 via wifi

2. e-mail simplisticmod@gmail.com, wait for the reply and follow the mediafire link

3. download mod.zip and extract the contents to a clean SD card

4. Go here http://please.hackmii.com/ input your wii mac address and click red or blue wire

5. extract the letterbomb zip to the same SD card, overwrite any files it asks

6. download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IPFLBG5I and copy it to wad/mod folder on the SD card

7. Put the SD card in the wii and go to messages, there should be a new message on the day before

8. Click the red envelope with the bomb, this will start the hackmii installer

9. Install homebrew channel, bootmii as ios and bootmii as boot2 (sometimes not available, no worries if not)

10. Start homebrew channel and click the first app 1. Wii Mod Batch, this will install all the WADs plus neogamma

11. Install Priiloader

12. Reboot Wii while holding eject to configure priiloader, enable all the hacks you require then boot into system menu

I enable the following:

Region Free EVERYTHING
Block Disc Updates
Remove Diagnostic Disc Check
No-Delete HAXX,JODI,DVDX,DISC,DISK,RZDx
Remove NoCopy Save File Protection
Remove diag disc check
Skip disc update check
Auto-Press A at Health Screen
Move Disc Channel
Block Online Updates

13. Remove SD card

Done!

Optional extra: Move the disc channel to the last screen out the way and replace it with neogamma to avoid confusion (neogamma plays real games too)

This method will leave you on latest everything and plays everything

Does this work on an already soft modded Wii, or do I have to restore to default before I follow those instructions from Rael?

ok looks like mw3 needs ios250

download neogamma ios switcher: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AVHP485O

then change to ios250

wad manager needs to go in /apps and ios changer needs to go in /wad on the sd card

right i got the iso switcher on the hb menu but when i select it it says "could'nt open the neogamma config file.

i,ve seen somrthing that says select yes for save config on neogamma then try the iso switcher but everytime i save config it resets to no again.??

just change the iso in usb cfg loader

i use 249 and works fine
