cursor disappears

if i write a sentence and then try to, for example, correct a spelling mistake the cursor disappears when i use the cursor keys to navigate. I have to then place the cursor with the mouse pointer where i want to edit / delete / etc.

Seems to work here (if I correctly understood the fault) using Chrome. Is this when using the Quickreply box, advanced reply or both? Which web browser?

So if you type into the reply box and try to take the flashing cursor to where you made a mistake by using the arrow keys on the keyboard the cursor disappears entirely? Until you click somewhere with the mouse?

interestingly ive tested in the quickreply box and it disappears as you have described.

however if i write in the quickreply box AFTER clicking reply with quote (as i have done now) the cursor moves with the arrow keys and does not disappear.

If i write text after having clicked 'go advanced' it works fine too.

Seems like you need to click an action first to stop it disappearing.

Windows 7 Professional, firefox 8.0.1 btw.
