Help Sky Plus SKY156 Remote Control and TV Link issues when connected to new HD Box

    Hi all,

We have just upgraded our old sky box to the HD Model and all was good for a couple of months, now the LG TV we have linked from the new box downstairs to the LG TV upstairs has started to play up it takes ages to switch on (screen is either blank with sound or just a color mass with sound. After the picture finally comes on (TIME IT TAKES VARIES) and you are able to view it, it has very fine green lines running through it and all this has happened since the box change over, any idea guys?

Sound like you have a dodgy RF2 output to me....Im sure Realist will be along to confirm or debunk this theory shortly.

Have you tried a differnt TV on the same connector?

If thats dodgy as well Id get back on to Sky about it.

Well first off I would feed the RF2 directly into the closest TV and test it via a short lead, this eliminates the eye and the RF2 output.

If it works then and the picture is fine I would change the cable going from downstairs to up, if it does not work check the voltage thats coming out of the RF2 it should be reading between 8 and 9 volts, if its any lower get the box changed or book a service call.

    Regards.

    PS,

Also turn off the power feeding the eye (you will find that in the installers menu) save it and then turn it back on.

Sometimes this works and fixes small problems.

    Thanks to Realist
