Bit of advice required here fellas.

I have 3 x credit cards with my bank and pay PPI on 2 of them. I didn't even realise I was paying PPI. Anyway, filled in the form (twice) and sent them off at the end of March.

    Card A I've had since 2000 and Card B had since 2002.

Just got a letter yesterday regarding Card A (not had owt back from Card B yet).

    Dear Mr Olympia

Your Payment protection Insurance Policy in association with *My Bank* Credit Card number ending 9999

You will be pleased to know that I have now finished my review into the concerns that you raised about your PPI Policy. Your concerns are important to us.

In the circumstances, and given the amount of time that has passed since toy made your complaint, as a gesture of goodwill and without any admission of liability, the Bank is prepared to make you the offer detailed below.

    My offer

We are willing to make you an offer of £1050.55. For more information as to how this figure has been determined, please bla, bla bla……
The letter then goes on to say I can accept or refer to the Ombudsman.

So...do you reckon I should hold out for more or accept the offer. Is this a standard letter they send out hoping that I'll accept and not hold out for more? Also, if I do hold out is there a chance that they can turn round and say get f*cked..you weren't mis-sold PPI?

Standard fob off. Write back refusing the offer and asking them for a final offer in line with what you are owed: amount plus card interest rate plus 8% statutory interest.
If they offer the same as a final offer, refer to the FOS. Expect a long wait but you should get it all back.

Expect a delay from the FOS at moment around 1 year...but there is a high chance they will go in your favour and add 8% interest!!!

    Worth the wait!
