Recieved a letter from egg on Friday saying I agreed to PPI online via a tick box so I can't claim! Is it worth going to the ombudsman or am I wasting my time?

Default Do It Yourself PPI claim form

This may seem daft just getting round to doing mine but do I just send it to the company address or do I send it elsewhere.
Ie if it is Barclays for barclaycard would I send it to:
    Barclays PPI Dept

    Leicester

    LE87 2BB

    And so on??

You`re telling me dude...I am landed. That money will now pay my credit card off completely, and the remainer of my loan and I`ll have a few £k left over so that`ll be put into savings...debt free for the first time in 14 years

    Cant thank you enough

Edit: Just to say, the claim with Tesco took 13 weeks to the day, from initial letter posted by me, to come back. In this time I didnt phone them chasing...just left them to it.

I had alot of sh!t from the banks a few years back, glad I have been helpful to you all (that cost them money!)

Also 88% when claims come back from the banks as a NO

are incorrect, so please take it up with the FFS if you get a billy bull$hit letter of them sayin 'well you did ask for it'
does not matter if you asked for it the point being if you claimed it would have been useless!

    think on and keep claiming!

...and now I think I'm going to chance my luck with the Halifax...had a mortgage which had PPI, and is now paid off, as well as 2 small loans which are paid off...unsure if these had PPI...worth a punt though

I have just received a letter back from Natwest saying that my PPI claim on my credit card had been rejected.

The story:- About 16 years ago after I graduated from uni I applied for a Natwest Credit card as I landed a job which included working away and claiming expenses back. I used the card for expenses. I have always though that PPI was a load of bollocks and so refuse it. About 5 years later I upgraded my account to an Advantage gold and they upgraded my credit card with the Account change. I did this over the phone and there is no way I would have agreed to PPI. I have also had two loans with natwest since and refused ppi on each.

As I don't really use the credit card I never bothered cancelling the PPI on it. So I have had PPI on it for about 10 years and yes I see it on my statements but its usually £5 or so and I always mean to get round to cancelling but never have! Sloppy eh!

So I thought I would cancel it and claim back the PPI as I know I never asked for it to be put on.. But they have rejected my case as I have known the PPI was there for 10 years .. Fair point, but this is about mis selling not me being lazy..

Is it worth me taking this further?

    All help and comments appreciated.

Nobody HAS to give you credit.
