    Stupid Electronic Signatures

What's the point? I just had a tesco delivery and had to sign for it, the handheld computer recognised my signature as a load of random lines. What is the point in signing for something if you're signature is completely illegible?

If they ever needed verification that I'd signed for the delivery they could ask me if it was my signature and I would quite honestly say no even if I knew I had signed for it.

I think some delivery companies do have better systems that record it better but you're still writing on a slippery screen so the end result looks nothing like your signature even then.

I totally agree, the driver dont even look at what you put on their anyway. you could sign anything and they accept it and walk off.
Some crappy systems out there, but i suppose with so many drivers and current climate, places dont want to spend a load on new devices.

Agreed. Same with the postie and their signature book really when they're trying to take it off you as your signing so they can get on with their job. Suppose it doesn't make a lot of difference if it's your parcel and it's coming to you, but if it was getting delivered to the wrong address and someone just scribbled a half arsed effort it causes problems. And it did for me, I lost a bloody phone due to it getting signed for by someone else and we couldn't even try to make anything from the scribble.

    Thanks to Zoots
