Thanks guys, they looked straight on my laptop but then again I did process them with it on my knee.

I'd have liked to have seen them maybe 20 minutes earlier or more, leave the inky blackness out from the sky areas - a bit of colour there might have given them an extra lift?

Lovely sharp images. Something I'm struggling to achieve. Is it just the limitation of the stock 18-55mm lense?

The glass makes a big difference i think mate and a sturdy tripod, shutter cable or use 2 second timer and mirror lockup if you want no vibration while taking the shot.

Thanks Paul mate, i originally went to take some pics for the Christmas theme comp so left it late intentionally to get some nice Christmas lights etc.
