This is hot over at HUKD now, looks good for £10 for the whole year. Some of the comments say people have been doing the same in their iPads too.
Hi guys.
So you've got your shiny new 3G Vita, and you want the cheapest possible way to connect to the tinterwebs right ?
Ok, follow me.
First of all, you need access to an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S - and a Micro Sim adapter. You don' need to own an iPhone 4, you just need access to one for a short while - so a friend or family member's iPhone4/S will suffice. This is because T-Mobile will need a IMEI number from an iPhone 4.
Then either visit a T-Mobile store and purchase a free iPhone 4/S Micro sim with £10 topup (mandatory) or order online from here .
Then, insert the micro sim in to an iPhone 4/S and ring this free landline number :
0808 1219999
You will be asked to enter the mobile phone number you are calling about, so enter the number of your new iPhone 4 Micro Sim.
You then need to be able to speak to a customer support member personally - this normally involves pressing the button that corresponds to 'wanting to leave T-Mobile/Asking for a PUK code'.
Once through to a member of the team, ask them to activate your 12 months FREE Internet access for your iPhone 4 Micro Sim. They will see that your sim is indeed inserted in to an iPhone 4/S so that they can get the IMEI number.
The team member should then sort it their end, and they should announce to you that you will shortly be receiving a text from them confirming that your 12 months Free internet has been activated.
Leave the sim in the phone until the text has been received (shouldn't be too long), then you're good to go.
Simply insert the Micro Sim into the Adapter (one should be supplied with the T-Mobile Micro Sim - if not they are cheap enough to order online from Amazon), then insert in to the PS Vita.
Et Voila . Free Internet for 12 months. (albeit £10 top up fee but hey ?)
Enjoy !
