Arabic TV

Hi Chaps,

What is the best way to get Arabic TV channels? My wife is Arabic and even though she has lived quite happily in the UK for the last 15 years with UK TV, she now wants Arabic..... "because the technology is there and I want it "!!!

I remember the 'old days' when satellite TV was a new and educational time on DF especially. I have mellowed now in my 'old age'. Just want cheap Arabic TV with no fuss.

A fixed dish at 13 east.thats where the Arabic channels reside.then upto of you decide on the official way or the way that we're not allowed to talk about on the boards.

As said above... 13e is the easiest way. But there are more channels on 7w. But it is a pain to get. Very large dish required.

Arabic subs are pretty cheap though. Especially if you know someone in one of the Middle Eastern / African countries.

Quite a few FTA too.

Wow 90+ channels all FTA?? That's amazing. I assume that if I point the dish at 13E I will get all the Hotbird satellites. I am also guessing that I will need at least 1m dish.

I use an 80cm dish for 13e. I am in London though.

I used to use a 40cm camping dish to get 13e near London.

you can get alot of channels off 7w with a 1 meter dish in the UK, a few movie channels with arabic subs to keep everyone happy to. No sub required
